Building a successful team starts with finding the right people. Here is the process we use to keep hiring fast, fair and defensible.

Most hiring mistakes are made before the first interview. When a role is loosely defined, everything downstream — sourcing, screening, the final decision — inherits that fuzziness. The fix is cheap: agree on the outcomes the person must deliver in their first year, then the three or four competencies that predict those outcomes.

With the profile fixed, structured interviews do the heavy lifting. Ask every candidate the same core questions, score against a rubric, and take notes during the conversation rather than after. This is not bureaucracy — it is what makes your decision explainable if it is ever challenged.

Finally, verify. A short background check confirms qualifications and employment history and surfaces the small number of applications that do not hold up. Done well, it protects the team the new hire is about to join.
